What do you offer?
We offer dinner Tuesday though Saturday We utilize as many local and regional productas as our climate will allow and we carry a select list of wines to complement our menu items.
We quietly opened April 12, and the response from the community has been spectacular. We officially have repeat customers.
What makes your business special?
We have an eager hardworking front-of-the-house staff. Their service, combined with Chef Mark and sous Chef Syndi’s creations, combine for an experience that will leave our patrons delighted and satisfied. (Mark is husband Mark Framke; Syndi is Lisa’s daughter, Sydni Reubin, also of Dixon.)
Tell us about yourself:
My name is Lisa Framke. I am the owner and general manager. My husband, Mark, and I have been in the process of creating Orom for about 2 years. Mark is from the south side of Chicago, I’m a Dixon native. We enjoy traveling, spending time with our friends and family, and eating great food.
We have six children, Brady Bunch style: Syndi, 25, Taylor, 21, Ross, 20, Anna, 14, Zoe, 11, and Niholis 11. Ross also works at Orom.
Orom is Hungarian, and depending on whether the o’s are accented with umlauts, it means joy or pinnacle.
